This is the Dirty Bureau or as some call it "the Bureau of Dirt". Whatever you call it, it's the place where I do most of my work whether it be design or music.

ABOUT ME

Long Answer:
I am a Charlotte, North Carolina based designer, musician, artist, photographer, activist, father and husband. I created this site to more efficiently host my work from all sides of the spectrum. I’ve spent time as an art director and senior designer for Ad Agencies and Design firms. In the end I left it behind to start a freelance practice and to focus on my own design and music. This has given me the chance to explore the style of design I truly enjoy creating and not be swayed by the various trends. This is not to say that I don’t appreciate the agency world, to the contrary, this is where I received my education, the trenches of client work definitely played a large part in shaping the way I think about design today. But it was all of the work I did for free, for friends or for my self, that I always felt was the truest expression of my design ideals. I try and apply these principles to all projects that come my way but I feel I am at my best when a potential client is coming to me for me and my style, not just another mouse pusher.

As for the music. I’ve been playing from the time I was a teenager and it has lead to somewhat of a sub career for me. I’ve released several albums under different monikers for reputable record labels and I’ve produced music for major ad campaigns for Nintendo Wii and the NBA. I enjoy producing music even more than producing design but I couldn’t imagine a better way to make a living.
